Helping NMED Tackle PFAS Contamination

DBS&A has been awarded a contract to support the NMED in determining the extent of PFAS impacts to surface water and groundwater in the vicinity of Cannon and Holloman Air Force Bases in Curry and Otero Counties, New Mexico. DBS&A will assist with defining the extent of contamination and developing a clean-up remedy that reduces risks to human health and the environment.

Dr. Schnaar Presents on Toxicity, Occurrence, Fate and Transport of PFAS Chemicals

Gregory Schnaar, PhD, PG, DBS&A’s Director of Expert Services and Principal Environmental Scientist, will present on “Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) Forensics: How to Identify Sources of Contamination” at the Law Seminars International PFAS Litigation in the Northeast virtual conference on October 29 – 30.

Dr. Gregory Schnaar, PG, Principal Hydrogeologist, will share important information about PFAS sources, fate and transport, and forensic methods for source determination in his presentation, “PFAS: Wide-Ranging Sources and Impacts to Water Supplies” at the AGWT Arizona webinar on September 24, 2020 co-organized with support from the Arizona Hydrological Society, Environmental Professions of Arizona, Arizona Water Association and the Air & Waste Management Association-Grand Canyon Section.
