Eryn Torres, PG, is a Principal Geologist and DBS&A’s Carbon Management Market Leader. She has 12 years of experience with technical expertise in carbon capture and storage (CCS, also known as geologic sequestration of carbon dioxide) projects, as well as subsurface analysis, including the study and evaluation of geologic reservoirs, natural resources, groundwater aquifers, and the monitoring and remediation of environmental contaminants. With advanced knowledge of geostatistics, subsurface data analysis, and three-dimensional (3D) modeling applications, she produces visualizations, groundwater flow estimates, contaminated mass and volume estimates, resource estimates, and characterizations of conditions changing over time.

From site evaluation, investigation, planning, and permitting, to implementation and monitoring, Ms. Torres excels in managing diverse, multi-disciplinary teams and engaging with regulators to achieve clients’ goals. Through active stakeholder engagement, Ms. Torres clearly communicates technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Ms. Torres has extensive experience with statistical and geostatistical modeling software, including Seequent Leapfrog Works and Geo, C Tech Earth Volumetric Studio (EVS), Python, Monitoring and Remediation Optimization Software (MAROS), ProUCL, and Petrel. She developed a proprietary workflow to optimize monitoring programs, utilizing Python scripting and advanced geostatistics, leading to the successful approval and implementation of optimized programs at over 15 sites, with approvals from agencies such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Department of Defense (DOD), and multiple state agencies.
