DBS&A founder, Daniel B. Stephens, Ph.D., P.G., will present “Challenging Times Ahead” to New Mexico Tech students on March 2, 2017 in Socorro, New Mexico. The presentation will focus on Southwest hydrology, drought, and future stresses; perspective on growth, water uses, and pricing; changing values, behaviors, and expectations; and work force challenges.
Dr. Stephens is a certified professional hydrogeologist with nearly 40 years of experience in consulting, research, and academia. He is internationally recognized as an authority on subsurface hydrology. He was a professor at New Mexico Tech (formerly New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology) for ten years—three as the Geoscience Department chairman, where he taught graduate courses in groundwater hydrology, including the first course entitled ‘vadose zone hydrology’.
